I;m going to compare how they cope with it. They're both the kind that got infected by a true vampire, and didn't get cured of the fever within three days, thus developing the syndrome irreversibly. It takes several months for the full effects to take hold but after it starts changing biology it can't be reversed, it can be slowed but not halted.
Anyhoo: Hento, for those who don't know, has the ability to shift into a giant winged snake about two or three times the mass of a human. Tis is strange cosnidering snakes are poisonous to all vampires and usually only humans or eleves are capable of contracting vampiric anaemia which is the cause of the mutation. He tends to fight back the thirts for blood with extremely high percentage alcohol due to his beastial nature giving him a remarkable tolerance, especially in comparison to our fallen angel vampire over here. He can go up to three weeks though by the end of that he's half starved and exhausted. In fighting back his vampirism, his magical nature has created an odd kind of sub-being, that calls itself Hunter. Such is the extent of his mental state by this point that his double-muatational genes (Serpents are prone to genetic mutataion, it's hyperfast, usually taking the form of skeltal changes and skin stripping, so that the affaected appear to have draconic, bleached white skeletal body parts. There is a seed of a plant that prevents most mutation, including vampirism (It's the cure for stage one vampiric anaemia) cancer and the serpent effect. Unfortunately it is fatal to those below five years which has terrible consequcnes to the infantile infected.) that he actually changes state, his black scales wash into grey and he undergoes various changed, his being a dual-form shifter also allows the problem to develop further. As Hunter he is a ruthless, calculating killer, though not necessarily evil. When he lets his bloodlust take over, his eyes turn crimson (Both, as threy are different colours normally. Left golden right emerald.) and he tends to take on an icy edge to his personality.
Darax: For the Xorthians who don't know Darax, he is an angel (Belived fallen though it could be down to the hypermutation of vampiric anaemia) and twin to Zephriel. On the contrary to Hento, he isn't particularly upset about his disorder, he just finds the obtaining of blood problematic. Using those looks of his and what had come to be known as 'vampiric charm' (It's a myth, it's just the vampires who have no aversion to taking blood foten develop a certain acting skill that tends to just appeal to the opposite sex. Females are suaully either the ute type or the 'come hither' type, men either dashing or that slick attractivness common in stereoptyped vampire novels. Darax is the latter due to his actual personality.) he teds to manourvre females involving close proximity to necks. Though darax admits it isn't whooy necessary to killl them, it can present challenges if the woman in question egts away, which often happens, or slayers wouldn't bother, since they'd have o headway. Vampire tend to bite the opposite sex (or same depending on sexuality) due to ease of getting within range. The violent type often get caught fast and killed.
In conclusion, some quotes:
Hento:
Hunterrrrr.... (Frequent-ish.)
The more I fightt he mopre he coems, the less I fight the more I end up killing people... There's... No escape, I'm cursed. Cursed to murder others. (Talking to Ems.)
Darax:
(Following a conversation in my story with Sylvine)
'Me taking small amount of blood from abunch of people is like a lion taking bites out of every gazelle in the savannha. It's tiring, and in reality, I'm not a lion so I get caught."
(Follwoing a conversation with Mella in my RP with Snare)
"Sure I could take your damn substitute but where's the fun in that?"
